Pretty.

We use this word to describe a person’s appearance, the look of a flower, or even the style of a room. We strive for pretty. But we often fail to look beyond the surface. Whether we assume the outside is all that matters or expect more based on an attractive package, we have a tendency to miss what resides beneath the pretty exterior. So often we find emptiness, pain, and insecurity instead of the beauty we seek.
